After she came home and told her husband where she went, he started screaming at her and, picking up a metal object, beat her unconscious while shouting "Infidel!" over and over. He even continued to beat her after she was unconscious and the only reason why she survived was because her neighbors overheard his screaming and after seeing what he was doing intervened immediately:<blockquote>A woman in the landlocked African nation of Uganda was beaten unconscious by her Muslim husband and hospitalized because she attended a church service and allegedly converted to Christianity.Twenty-one-year-old Fatuma Baluka, who lives in Uganda's eastern Budaka District, recently told the Christian persecution watchdog website Morning Star News that she was knocked unconscious and ferociously beaten by her husband, Hussein Kasolo, last Sunday after she attended a nearby Christian church with her friend."When I arrived home, my husband shouted at me as an 'infidel,' and then and there started hitting me with a metallic object," Baluka said. "I fell down, only to find myself in a hospital bed."Fortunately for Baluka, who is the daughter of an Islamic leader in the predominantly Muslim village, her neighbors came to her rescue and stopped the husband from continuing to beat her. That is why it is so common with former Muslims, as with this women, that when a Muslim leaves Islam and in particular for any form of Christianity he will lose his friends, his family, his home, most of his former life, and sometimes even his own life. To become a Christian from a Muslim family is literally to abandon everything you ever knew and loved for the sake of embracing the truth. It is clear that the truth is worth all costs, but often times it is easy to forget how expensive that cost is and the consequences of following it.This woman, Fatuma, not only learned this by experience, but she also still, in spite of everything chose to persist in following Christian truth even though it has since cost her everything. But as Sacred Scripture states:<blockquote>“If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. “For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? We have all been banned in one way or another from Facebook, and it is only a matter of time before our temporary bans become permanent.All of this is because we have opinions that are considered "controversial" in our current day. Many people agree with us, and many people disagree with us. That is fine, because even if people hate us, we cannot be accused of lacking an opinion of our own. As one Sicilian person I knew once said, "Un uomo senza enimici e un uomo senza carracateri," meaning "A man without enemies is a man without character."The fact is that we will not all agree on everything. That should be understood, and while we may passionately disagree with each other, in today's Internet world it is common for people to react with almost immediate and impassioned anger at any display of disagreement with their personal convictions. It crosses all politicial, religious, and cultural lines, and while certain types of anger can be justified, many times there is simply too much anger for too little of a matter. This is partially behind the fuel of this Facebook censorship trend, for by playing on the emotions and whims of men, which are inherently fickle and prone to change, people with evil intentions can manipulate public opinion in what is nothing less than an alternative approach to a <a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="http://plato.stanford.edu/entries/hegel-dialectics/">Hegelian dialectic</a>.For me, I actually enjoy listening many times to people who I firmly disagree with, because of the fact that I often times can learn something from him. While I do have my views and I hold them strongly, I am also open to considering views which I had not previously held. While I do not often talk about it, for a long time I had opinions that were in direct contradiction to many of those which I hold today, and the reason that I eventually changed is because I was open to considering and actually listening to and thinking through arguments that were not my own. I do not say this as something cavalier, that I just change my views at a whim, but if the old saying that I have often cited here that says "even a broken clock is right twice a day" is true, then there is often times a golden nugget of wisdom even in the most fervent of disagreements.I have a friend who is becoming Catholic right now from a Pentecostal background. He was not forced, but introduced to the Catholic Faith through his father, who I have also had the pleasure of befriending. His father was a former Baptist and later, Pentecostal minister who was infamous in the Chicago and midwest area for having misguided hundreds and possibly thousands of Catholics out of the Church and into Protestantism. However, after considering the Catholic Faith through keeping and open mind and with years of careful study, he is now himself Catholic and actually going back to people he knew who he lead astray and guiding them back to the Church.Hearts and minds, while difficult and many times slow, can and do change because man has free will. As I know from past and current experience, disagreement is fine and good, but so is keeping an open mind to alternative viewpoints, especially those which one disagrees with. It is a lesson for all men and Facebook alike.

As I have said before, if Islam is victorious over America, it will be by judicial and bureaucratic fiat. Likewise, if Islam is defeated, it will ultimately come through the same means. Like it our not, America legislates by jurisprudence and bureaucracy, so the major battles to watch are those on said fronts.This was a small victory in what is really a very rural area in the eastern end of the Tennessee Valley nestled between the hills of Appalachia. However, the fact was that Islam came here to try and set itself up through a bureaucratic school board decision, and it was defeated.This reminds me of a similar case in Shelbyville, TN, which is just over an hour south of Nashville. About 7 years ago, it was reported on that a sizeable Muslim enclave was setting itself up in this poor industrial area whose better days were, judging by the layout of the city and what it must have looked like in its time and now, had clearly seen better days. So, one day when I had some time to myself, I took a drive out to Shelbyville last year and decided to look into the matter more. What I discovered shocked me.There were no Muslims anywhere. There was not even any signs of a Muslim presence.I spent some time looking into the matter and speaking with locals, including a few who were very close to the Muslim situation. It didn't take me long to realize based on our conversations and what I had seen what happened. Yes, it was true that the Muslims were gathering force in this little town. However, the locals, who are mostly poor whites and poor Mexican or Guatemalan people living side-by-side, had become tired of the Muslims and 'encouraged' them to find a more suitable place.The locals ran the Muslims out of town.I say this because you, reader, have more power than you may realize in this situation with Islam. Sure, there are Muslims that are pouring over national borders robbing, raping, and murdering as they travel. However, as a friend of mine who has been involved in politics for years once told me, "all politics is local politics." Ultimately, it is the men on the ground who have to live with the consequences of decisions made by men over them that shape their future decisions, and as all wise politicians know, there is a limit to how far you can push the people before they refuse to listen and start to fight back.
