Archeologists Discovered The Place Where Goliath Lived, Yet Ancient Goliaths Discovered In Israel Prove The Bible

Archaeologists at Israel’s Bar-Ilan University announced last week the <a href="http://www.breakingisraelnews.com/46930/giant-discovery-israel-uncovers-proof-goliaths-rule-jerusalem/#o93XSOTwQYpGDPxe.97">discovery of a massive gate and other fortifications in the ruins of Gath</a>, the hometown of the Bible’s Goliath. The ancient gate is one of the largest ever discovered in Israel and evidence of the Philistine city’s power in the 10th and ninth centuries B.C.E. Gath even made a brief appearance in the Bible when David, Goliath’s slayer and future king of Israel, “acted like a madman, making marks on the doors of the gate and letting saliva run down his beard.” While such a discovery adds much credibility to the Bible, but what about discovering Goliath? Are we awaiting to discover a skeletal remains of a man so huge who will baffle scientists? Fact is, they have discovered several Goliaths in Israel and elsewhere that match biblical description. And just as the Bible described giants or what evolutionists call “Neanderthals,” these Goliath bones were buried side by side with humans as found on Mount Carmel and other locations in Israel and elsewhere in the world.
For example, Mugharet el-Zuttiyeh (“Cave of the Robbers”), and Es Skhul (meaning kids), paleo-anthropologists tell us, is a “prehistoric” archaeological site in <a title="Upper Galilee" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Upper_Galilee">Upper Galilee</a>, <a title="Israel" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israel">Israel</a> which also included both the alleged “moderns” and the so-called “Neanderthals” of the region.

Es Skhul (meaning kids) (Arabic: السخول‎) is a cave site situated c. 20 kilometers south of the city of Haifa, Israel, and c. 3 kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea. The prehistoric site, was first excavated by Dorothy Garrod in the summer of 1928. The excavations revealed the first evidence of the late Epipalaeolithic Natufian culture, characterised by the presence of abundant microliths, human burials and ground stone tools. Skhul also represents one area where Neanderthals. The cave also has Middle Palaeolithic layers. The remains found at Es Skhul, together with those found at the Wadi el-Mughara Caves and Mugharet el-Zuttiyeh, were classified in 1939 by Arthur Keith and Theodore D. McCown as Palaeoanthropus palestinensis, a descendent of Homo heidelbergensis.

In 1961, a Japanese team digging in a cave in the Wadi Amud about 31 miles from Mt. Carmel near the Sea of Galilee, <a href="http://www.mandley.com/advdemo/mod08/adv8900.htm">discovered a shattered Neandertal</a> adult skeleton so high up in the stratigraphy that it had Upper Paleolithic artifacts and even pottery associated with it. The youngest were radiocarbon dates of 5710 years. He was a robust man with a cranial capacity (brain size) of 1740 ml in volume. A huge skull by modern standards. Consider that modern men and women are between 1200 and 1500 ml.

When it comes to the giant Goliath, he causes lots of controversy, especially between creationists and evolutionists, but the fact that the Bible mentions them before paleo-anthropologists discovered them makes a clear case that the Bible was right.
It is when it comes to giants that exaggerations are found everywhere. There are the conspiracy theorists who post exaggerated photoshopped images. Then we have the Nephilim mania claiming that fallen angels married into humans. The biblical “Nephilim” were giants, but not the ridiculous images. Giants were huge in the sense of their body mass and capabilities. Goliath in the Bible was “six cubits and a span” in height (First Samuel 17:4) – over nine feet tall. Goliath wasn’t the tallest. The <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giant_of_Castelnau">tallest Neanderthal</a> was discovered by the anthropologist <a title="Georges Vacher de Lapouge" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georges_Vacher_de_Lapouge">Georges Vacher de Lapouge</a> at the Bronze Age cemetery of <a title="Castelnau-le-Lez" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castelnau-le-Lez">Castelnau-le-Lez</a>, France. The height of this giant was estimated at about 11 ft 6 dated to the <a title="Neolithic" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neolithic">Neolithic</a> period.
Then we have the evolutionists, another exaggeration who initially separated what they termed “Neanderthals” from regular human beings: Goliaths. These had thick heavy bones with markings of powerful muscles and were at least 30% larger than an average man and of great muscular strength capable of enormous exertion and endurance. They had low foreheads, protruding brows, and large noses with broad nostrils and were generally meat eaters.

One of the things that convinced me about Scriptures was that prior to my conversion from Islam to Christianity, I regularly visited the Rockefeller Museum were I was glued to watch two fascinating skeletons displayed side by side. One was of an <a href="http://www.gettyimages.com/detail/news-photo/natufian-burial-found-on-mount-carmel-jerusalem-rockefeller-news-photo/567917319">ancient Canaanite woman</a> next to one of these magnificent robust huge skeletons dug from Mount Carmel. The size of this skeleton was quite amazing but was rarely if ever discussed in major publications.

This skeleton can easily measure over seven feet tall. Giants are not what is seen in fiction. When it comes to the Bible and it’s ancient writers, a mountain from their sense would be a hill in modern western sense. Mount Moriah, Mount Gerezim and Mount Ebal, for example, are simply hills, yet they are called mountains in the Bible. Rivers are the same. The Jordan River by western standards is a creek. And so are the giant Goliaths, I hate to call them Neanderthals, they are simply seven to twelve feet tall human beings, just as the Bible said and just as we dig out from ancient burial sites.

Goliaths (Neanderthals) actually proves how accurate the Bible is. When science tries to dismiss the Bible, in the end the Bible, like an anvil, crushes all hammers, especially when the Bible makes strange claims that the modern evolutionist dispute. To provide an example, lets assume that the Bible said that cows originally had wings. This should be a fair comparison since evolutionists claim that whales (mammals) came from cows (also mammals). It is this type of scenario that baffles scientists who scoffed at the idea that a snake originally had legs. Then came the world’s first four legged known snake when paleo-anthropologists discovered Tetrapodophis amplectus <a href="http://www.sciencemag.org/content/349/6246/416">in Brazil</a>. The discovery <a href="http://shoebat.com/2015/07/23/for-the-first-time-ever-a-snake-with-legs-has-been-discovered-proving-the-bible-to-be-true-that-the-serpent-originally-had-legs/">proved that snakes walked on foot</a>, instead of crawling on their bellies which is exactly what the Bible declared in Genesis 3:14.

To say that snakes had legs was like saying that cows had wings, except such an amazing unusual claim was made by the Bible and not paleo-anthropologists. The test of time proved no fossil records for the evolutionist to prove that a whale comes from a cow, yet the same test proved by fossil records that believing in the Bible was simple common sense, the snake had legs.
The question that begs an answer is how did Moses and Joshua (who are believed to have written Genesis) knew that snakes had legs and that we had seven to twelve foot tall giants? Remember, the paleoanthropologist say  that the legged-snake fossil was millions of years old, and so was the “Neanderthal”. Moses was not even around during these times. There are only few answers: a) Moses was a paleoanthropologist, or b) he was simply a perfect guesser, or c) giants where there at the time of Moses or d) both, “c” plus Moses had good connections with the one who authored everything: God.
The Bible busts Evolutionists myth who at one-point-in-time said that Neanderthals were half monkey and half human. So when the first Nephilim (Neanderthal/Cro-Magnon) was discovered, the popular evolutionist imagination said that these were prehistoric brutes who walked like apes and became outsmarted by a more advanced species, the humans who emerged from Africa. Anatomical <a href="http://www.livescience.com/1122-neanderthal-99-5-percent-human.html">studies have shown</a> Neanderthals <a href="http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2008/08/080825203924.htm">used tools</a>, wore jewelery, buried their dead, cared for their sick, and possibly sang or even spoke in much the same way that we do. Even more humbling, perhaps, their brains were slightly larger than ours. And as it turned out, <a href="http://racialreality.blogspot.com/2011/02/cro-magnons-were-caucasoid-not-negroid.html">Cro-Magnons were Caucasoid</a> and not Negroid. Evolution was a racist theory which assumed that Africans were less intelligent beings.
The Bible, even though it was mocked at the time of such discoveries, was right, again and again, the Goliaths, as the Bible described spoke and were quite intelligent heathens whose genomes and ours (as scientists discovered) are more than 99.5 percent identical. They even <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2015/02/20/science/a-new-theory-on-how-neanderthal-dna-spread-in-asia.html">tell us</a> that people in China, Japan and other East Asian countries have about 20 percent more Neanderthal DNA than do Europeans, but they still make the mistake that they were here 150,000 years ago even though orientals only existed a few thousands of years ago. How they conclude this is questionable. Shouldn’t skeletons that are dated from 150,000 year old  seen side by side with modern human boggle the minds of the Evolutionists? The question simply debunks the dating methodologies used.

To impose evolutionary pre-supposition was debunked after World War II were Neanderthals were reexamined to have been found to be simply humans. Now they say that modern humans interbred with Neanderthals. The “two species” <a href="http://www.foxnews.com/world/2014/08/20/new-carbon-dating-suggests-neanderthals-had-ample-time-to-mix-with-modern/" target="_blank">paleoanthropologist say</a> “existed alongside each other to between 2,600 and 5,400 years. This treatment of the two as “separate species” with new findings showing the two existed and even intermarried should debunk Evolution. Neanderthals (Goliaths) marrying Humans is simply similar to European Australians marrying Indigenous Australian Aborigines.  Imagine thousands of years from now if they assumed that the Aborigine was hundreds of thousands years older than the European and here comes someone who excavates remains of a family where the husband was Aborigine and the wife was European, what would that do to these theorists?
It is impossible to provide proof for evolution because evolution depends on a false assumption which stems from its own Genesis claiming that a cow became whale. There is no such thing as a Neanderthal specie, these, as it was scientifically proven, were just as human as anyone else.

The trick used by paleoanthropologist is simple to explain. They always show skeletal samples that are void of other samples from all recent living people. Anatomical definitions are based on the assumption Neandertals were not modern humans so modern samples for the modern human always exclude Neandertal looking type of people. When we apply samples of Holocene and recently living Aboriginal Indigenous Australians or other peoples, it debunks this theory.  Aboriginal Indigenous Australians are each and every bit modern, just as we see certain Europeans and Russians who are stalky, robust and enormous. These skeletal samples from modern humans differ little from the so-called Neanderthals.

It is not impossible to see this everywhere, including even the Davids defeating the Goliaths. As we stated, a Giant like Goliath in the Bible was “six cubits and a span” in height – over nine feet tall. We find seven to twelve feet tall skeletons all over the world just as we find these heights in living people today. Og king of Bashan’s bedstead was nine cubits (13.5) feet. He wasn’t 13 some feet tall, but this is simply the size of his bed. His height must have been incredible just as was Goliath’s and the Goliath discovered in France. Giants in the Bible were identified as “men of a great stature” (Num 13:32). They were also called “Anakims; Which also were accounted giants (Rephaim)” (Duet 2:10). So these robust tall guys in Duet 2 were called Nephilim, Rephaim, Horims, Emims, Zamzummims and Avims. The Bible defined a giant’s average height and by this standard, we still have ample numbers of giants today.

To claim hundreds of thousands year old bones is virtually impossible with the dating techniques we have. Carbon dating, while accurate, like other <a title="Radiometric dating" href="http://www.conservapedia.com/Radiometric_dating">radiometric dating</a> methods, requires certain assumptions that cannot be scientifically proved. These include the starting conditions, the constancy of the rate of decay, and that <a href="http://www.dinosaurc14ages.com/carbondating.htm">no material has left or entered the sample</a>. Dinosaur bones for example, are rarely carbon dated and when they were, the dates did not show millions, but thousands of years old. In fact, the first evidence of an entirely soft-tissue crest for any dinosaur <a href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/nature/25260312">was found</a>, yet they are dated millions of years old without being tested for carbon-14.

The problem with double-checking fossil discoveries is that they are <a href="http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=93103" target="_blank">rarely shared with other scientists</a> for years, if ever, due to concerns over publishing priorities. Typically, to get full credit for a discovery, the finder must hoard the fossil for a decade or more before allowing others to study it so that he can publish first. Most anthropologists must rely only on descriptions and interpretations put forward by the discoverer of the fossils the very person who has a vested interest in proving his own theories.
Therefore, paleoanthropology finds that the field is far less objective than physics, chemistry, or even biology. Furthermore, fraud and <a href="http://www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/how-to-solve-human-evolutions-greatest-hoax-167921335/?no-ist">fakery have been demonstrated</a> many times. In a field based on little evidence and many assumptions is why we have conflicts which are common among scientists in this area.
For example, the Hamburg skull fragment, which was believed to have come from the world’s oldest German, a Neanderthal known as Hahnhöfersand Man, was actually a mere 7,500 years old, <a href="http://www.theguardian.com/science/2005/feb/19/science.sciencenews" target="_blank">according to Oxford University’s radiocarbon dating unit</a>. The unit established that other skulls had been wrongly dated too.
The paleo-anthropologists all lay their findings on the Evolutionary Tree. But some evolutionists are at times very candid, such as American paleoanthropologist Donald Johanson. He is known for discovering the fossil of a female hominid australopithecine known as “Lucy” (which later turned out to be a hoax). His <a href="http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=93103" target="_blank">admission</a> says it all, that now “nobody really places a great deal of faith in any human [evolution] tree” (Morell, 1995; p.  546).
Yet, many of the paleoanthropologist arguments are over this tree, which seems to change with each new find. The reason is that construction of these trees is based on evidence that is so flimsy and fragmentary that a wide variety of interpretations is possible which in turn is a major explanation for the many heated conflicts that have characterized paleoanthropology.  There are so little hard data that most of the findings can be construed in several different ways.
But one source from way past in time has always turned to be the most reliable regardless to how far we advance into time: it is as it was, The Holy Bible.

Russian forces ambushed four major Muslim terrorist leaders and killed all of them. According to the report from <a href="http://www.pravmir.com/majority-of-russians-place-feelings-of-believers-above-freedom-of-speech-and-expression-poll/" target="_blank">This is England:</a>

The committee said Suleimanov was suspected of staging the 2012 killing of Said Afandi, the powerful leader of Dagestan’s Muslim Brotherhood. The warlord was also accused of numerous killings of police officers and civilians in the region.
Dagestan has been the epicenter of the Islamic insurgency that spread across North Caucasus after two separatist wars in Chechnya. The insurgents want to carve out a separate state governed by their strict interpretation of Islamic law, and some have links to the Islamic State group.
Suleimanov was the third Caucasus rebel chief killed in as many years. He became the leader of the Caucasus Emirate in April, after the Russian forces killed his predecessor Aliaskhab Kebekov. Kebekov, who pledged allegiance to al-Qaida, succeeded Doku Umarov, who had claimed responsibility for major terror attacks in Russia.

Islamist terror gangs in the Caucasus have been encouraged by American intelligence agencies and wealthy businessmen exiled from Russia for tax evasion. In a policy that echoes the mistake the USA made in creating Al Qaeda to give the old Soviet Union problems in Afghanistan, Washington seems to think that it can use the Muslim extremists to hit governments it doesn’t like, including in Syria and Russia, without suffering ‘blowback’. Short-sighted or what?!

Three Christian women have been kidnapped by ISIS who has released photos of the women, saying that they will be sex slaves if a ransom is not paid. According to <a href="http://www.aina.org/news/20150817135153.htm" target="_blank">one Mid East report:</a>

The Islamic State terror group has distributed online photos of three women believed to be kidnapped Assyrian Christians, warning that if a ransom is not paid for their freedom, the women will be turned into sex slaves.
MailOnline reported that the three women who appear in the photos, holding pieces of paper which reveal their names and the date July 27, are likely part of the over 200 Assyrians kidnapped by IS in February in Syria.
The Assyrian Federation of Sweden cautioned that it cannot yet be confirmed whether the women in the photos are indeed those kidnapped from the Assyrian village of Tel Shamiram, but said that their surnames suggest that it is so.
“These names are names you find in Assyrian villages,” the group said. It added that the suggestion that they are being ransomed for money to pay for IS’ terror activities in Iraq and Syria also makes sense, but can not be confirmed at this point.
Another recently released IS video shows eight kidnapped Assyrian men reading out their names and the villages they are from.
The Assyrian Federation said that it is certain those men are among the Christians kidnapped by the jihadists in the Khabur River raids in February.
“They state their names in the video and we have a list of the hostages so we can clearly see they are one of them,” spokesman Afram Yakoub said.
“No IS fighter appears in the video, but the last man clearly says we call on the international community to secure our release but he does not say anything about ransom.”
A major report released by The New York Times last week detailed the IS’ praise of sexual slavery, noting that many of the jihadists believe that raping children and young girls is like a “prayer” that draws them closer to God.
The terror group has heavily targeted both Christians and Yazidis, whom it has captured throughout Iraq and Syria, forcing many of the captured women into sexual slavery.
Earlier in August IS kidnapped as many as 100 Assyrian families from the town of al-Qaryatain in the Homs district of western Syria. Last week, however, it released 22 Assyrians believed to be part of the group kidnapped from the Khabur region.
It is not yet clear why IS released the small group of Christians, but the Assyrian Observatory for Human Rights said the hostages were freed due to “the tireless efforts and negotiations by the Assyrian Church of the East in the city of Hasakeh.”
The Assyrian Network for Human Rights Director Osama Edward vowed that negotiations will continue to free all of the hostages.
“There is a positive atmosphere around the negotiation,” Edward said last week.

A righteous Christian woman named Kim Davis, who works for Rowan County in Kentucky, refuses to give marriage licenses to disgusting sodomites. US District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky has issued a statement to compel her to give the licenses, <a href="http://www.christianpost.com/news/kentucky-clerk-refuses-to-issue-marriage-license-to-gay-couple-despite-court-order-142837/" target="_blank">saying</a>:

The Court must … point out that the act of issuing a marriage license to a same-sex couple merely signifies that the couple has met the legal requirements to marry. It is not a sign of moral or religious approval … Davis, in her official capacity as Rowan County Clerk, is hereby preliminarily enjoined from applying her ‘no marriage licenses’ policy to future marriage license requests submitted by Plaintiffs.

Some sodomites approached Davis with the order, using it as leverage to force her to give them the licenses, but she turned them away, as a righteous Christian should. Here is a video of two sodomites getting turned away in Rowan county:

Notice in the end the sodomites lament on “cruelty.” Well, at times cruelty is necessary for love to be advanced. The Scripture says on pity for the oppressed, “He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord” (Proverbs 19:17), but to the wicked God says, “do not spare them” (1 Samuel 15:3) and “Your eye shall have no pity on them” (Deuteronomy 7:6). In a Christian empire or nation, no pity would be applied to the acolytes of Sodom. Jehu showed no pity for Jezebel, but had her thrown down a window, and thought nothing of it, rather he ate and drank. Then he said, “Go now, see to this accursed woman, and bury her, for she was a king’s daughter.” (2 Kings 9:34) No pity should be taken on these deviants, if a righteous government were to uproot them.
This little county is more holy than the largest cities in America. In a truly Christian government, these sodomites would be arrested and executed for the glory of God and Christendom.
One report <a href="http://www.christianpost.com/news/kentucky-clerk-refuses-to-issue-marriage-license-to-gay-couple-despite-court-order-142837/" target="_blank">said</a>:

Davis … was the first to be sued and her attorneys vowed to keep fighting in a case legal experts have likened the resistance some local officials put up five decades ago when the Supreme Court legalized interracial marriage … Staff in Davis’ office said she was on vacation. Though she has six employees authorized to issue licenses, deputy clerk Nathan Davis said the office was advised by its attorneys with the Christian law firm Liberty Counsel to continue refusing same-sex couples as it appeals the judge’s decision.

Notice what the US district court said, that the license “is not a sign of moral or religious approval”, as if they know anything about the Christian Faith. The state has now created its own Christian church, and they have determined that to approve of homosexuality is not contrary to Christianity. In the Christian Faith, not one ounce of approval is to be given to the activities or ideologies of homosexuals. It states very clearly in the Mosaic Law: “You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination,” (Lev. 18:22), and it is severe that it prescribes the death penalty to such evil people:

If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. (Leviticus 20:13)

These are beautiful laws, not because we enjoy death, but because it is a immaculate reflection on the harmonic order of God. Man and woman coming together brings forth new life; homosexuality, on the other hand, brings no life, and in fact brings human beings — either those who partake in homosexuality or are influenced by homosexuality — into a disorderly disposition and chaotic way of thinking. God, in His ineffable and eternal comprehension, knows this truth — for He is the Truth — and so conveys to us the obligation to guard truth, and to guard His lawful order of the universe and of nature. He rewards us with children and happiness when we follow the order or matrimony, just as he did with Adam who lived in perpetual contemplation in God. But he curses us with misery when we live contrary to this order, even if we do not punish the evildoers ourselves. But, this does not mean that we ignore the issue. A weed must still be plucked even if it is being withered by the sun.
The Scripture says, “the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart” (1 Timothy 1:5). We do not desire the death of the sodomite — under the the hands of the state — because we love, but because we love from a pure heart. We love the society, we love humanity, we love the nations, and do not desire — unlike the antichrist politicians — to see people overrun with this evil. This is why I saw that the best solution against this homosexual evil is the death penalty on the part of the government. But I doubt this will ever happen — not until Christ returns — because we are overrun by the supporters of sodomites. But when Christendom returns, not only the sodomite but the politicians who support will be at the end of the sword of justice. The sodomites want to jail this women, and would love to kill her, but I hope they know that soon, in the blessed return of the Eternal Warrior, they will be the ones destroyed. “You have rebuked the nations, You have destroyed the wicked; You have blotted out their name forever and ever.” (Psalm 9:5)

Muslim officers in Iran’s Rajai Shahr prison raided Saeed Abedini’s prison cell and are making life miserable for him because he refuses to deny Christian and he rejects Allah as a false god. According to the most recent report:

American pastor Saeed Abedini, who is serving eight years in prison in Iran, has reportedly been subjected to an aggressive raid by guards at his prison cell, a human rights agency has said, adding that Abedini’s condition is “very worrisome.”
The American Center for Law and Justice noted that very little information has been available on Abedini’s well being over the last month, noting that his relatives in Iran who visit him are presently out of the country, while the government has rejected all requests for the pastor to talk on the phone with his wife, Naghmeh, and the couple’s two children in the U.S.
The Human Right Activists News Agency Iran reported last week that Abedini’s prison cell was raided by guards in what it called “dishonorable and harsh” actions. It added that the pastor’s condition at Rajai Shahr prison is very worrisome.
The ACLJ, which represents Abedini’s family in the U.S., said that American officials need to press Iran on the release of Abedini and other Americans being held unjustly in Iranian prisons.
“The Iranian regime continues to hold this innocent man hostage,” the law group said.
“We must send a message to Iran that it must immediately release Pastor Saeed and the other imprisoned Americans.”
The ACLJ added that “whatever benefit the Iranian regime believes it may receive from continuing to hold Pastor Saeed and the other Americans, the American government and the international community must make clear that unjustly imprisoning innocent men and continuing its hostage tactics will only result in Iran’s continued outcast from the international community.”

The reason why America has not done anything for Saeed Abedini is because it is ruled by anti-Christian agents. In America we have heretics, antichrist atheist Jews, renegade Catholics and Muslims in high positions of power. They hate Christ and love to see the blood of the innocent — especially unborn children — shed and spilt. Over twenty Christians are in prison right here in the US, in California, for simply trying to escape ISIS and live in the US. America bombed Kosovo through NATO, and helped in the slaughter of tens of thousands of Christians. What is the result of this? Heretics ruling the country. This is why heresy must be outlawed and eclipsed by Orthodoxy.

Officials have raised their alert to its second highest level after it detected a spike in seismic activity in a volcano on Saturday near the offshore volcano Sakurajima, Agency France Presse reported. They have warned an evacuation of the city of just over 600,000 people may be necessary. The Japanese Meteorological Agency said:
“The possibility for a large-scale eruption has become extremely high for Sakurajima.” It warned residents to exercise “strict caution” and prepare for evacuation. An official told Sky News: “There is the danger that stones could rain down on areas near the mountain’s base, so we are warning residents of those areas to be ready to evacuate if needed.” It comes as a nuclear reactor 50 kilometres (31 miles) away was switched back on for the very first time on Tuesday after it was closed in the wake of the Fukushima disaster in 2011.
Critics had warned that the reopening of the Sendai plant, the first in Japan’s renewed nuclear programme, was premature and Japan’s nuclear reactors are still vulnerable to natural disaster. In October last year, the meterological agency warned that another volcano, Ioyama, near to Sendai plant was at risk of an eruption. Critics say the reopening of the Sendai nuclear reactor is premature Japan is on the so called “Ring of Fire” along the Earth’s tectonic plates where earthquakes and volcanos are thought to be more common.
According to the agency there are more than 100 active volcanoes in Japan making it one of the most seismological volatile places on earth. The last major eruption of Sakurajima was in 2013 where an estimated 63 people were killed. ( via independent.co.uk )
