Coca-Cola Spending Millions To Fund A Study Saying That Diet Doesn’t Affect Weight Gain

<a href="http://cdn9.trueactivist.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/coke-stu.jpg"><img alt="coke-stu" class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-37531" height="267" src="http://cdn10.trueactivist.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/coke-stu-400x267.jpg" width="400" /></a>As we have been <a href="http://www.trueactivist.com/study-finds-nearly-all-scientific-papers-controlled-by-six-corporations/">writing about in recent weeks</a>, the industry of “science” has become so far removed from the fundamentals of the scientific method, that it can no longer be trusted. There are a variety of factors that have created this situation, namely the fact that most mainstream experiments are funded by government agencies or corrupt corporations.
A perfect example of this dynamic was <a href="http://fortune.com/2015/08/10/coke-weight-loss/">reported recently in Fortune Magazine,</a> showing that Coca-Cola is putting millions of dollars forward to fund a scientific study that will indirectly promote and defend their product. Coca-Cola sought out researchers that have an established belief that diet does not affect weight gain to the extent that most people think it does. The researchers argue that the key to staying slim is exercise and not diet.
Steven N. Blair, one of the researchers recently hired by coke, is the vice president of a group called the Global Energy Balance Network, which argues against a diet-based approach to weight loss.
“Most of the focus in the popular media and in the scientific press is, ‘Oh they’re eating too much, eating too much, eating too much’ — blaming fast food, blaming sugary drinks and so on. And there’s really virtually no compelling evidence that that, in fact, is the cause,” Blair said.
Now Blair and his fellow researchers have a $5.5 million dollar investment from Coke, to create a scientific study that will undoubtedly have the results that they want to see.
While experts have a hard time seeing this problem at work throughout the entire scientific industry, this study is even raising alarms with health experts who place their trust in science.
Marion Nestle, author, and a professor of nutrition, food studies and public health at New York University, pointed out in an interview with the New York Times, that this is obviously a scheme to <a href="http://www.trueactivist.com/what-happens-to-our-body-after-drinking-coca-cola/">improve Coke’s image.</a>
“The Global Energy Balance Network is nothing but a front group for Coca-Cola. Coca-Cola’s agenda here is very clear: Get these researchers to confuse the science and deflect attention from dietary intake,” Nestle said.
This seems to be a long term strategy for Coke, as this is not the first scientific study that they have funded and promoted. Earlier this year they published a number of pieces online for American Hearth Month, which suggested that a mini can of Coke could be a “healthy treat” that is actually good for you. Those pieces were largely rejected, so it seems that the company may be toning down their propaganda.
Coke has continued to face a number of <a href="http://www.trueactivist.com/coca-cola-facing-major-financial-challenges-as-sales-steadily-decline/">financial challenges</a> as sales continue to fall, and people become more health conscious.

Dr Robert Jedicke, of the University of Hawaii Institute for Astronomy, believes a number of mini-moons not visible from Earth with the naked eye are in temporary orbit of our planet. And he claims to have already conclusively identified one tiny moon that orbited us, adding: “only one is known, it’s not fictional.” The three-metre wide baby moon called 2006 RH120 was observed in 2006 and orbited Earth for about a year before it shot back to the asteroid belt. Dr Jedicke then used specialist computer programmes to calculate the likelihood that other asteroids and space rocks had been lured in by Earth’s gravity. The paths of more than 10 million asteroids were examined before he concluded that at any time there would always be at least one tiny moon orbiting Earth. He added: “Mini-moons are scientifically extremely interesting. ( via express.co.uk )

Donald Trump recently said, “We have no time for tone when Christians are getting their heads chopped off”. And how is this statement! 160 Christians just got kidnapped by ISIS. I did a whole video on this:

According to <a href="http://www.aleteia.org/en/world/article/isis-kidnaps-up-to-160-christians-from-syrian-town-5777989493063680" target="_blank">the report:</a>

Up to 160 Christians are believed to have been kidnapped from a town in Syria and are being held in an unknown location.
The kidnapping was part of a larger operation when the Islamic State captured the town of Al Qaryatayn near Homs on Thursday. In total, some 230 persons were abducted.
“We do not know what ‘Islamic State’ intends to do with the hostages,” Father Jihad Youssef, a member of a Syrian-Catholic religious order, told the Catholic pastoral charity Aid to the Church in Need on Sunday. “Does ISIS intend to negotiate and let the people go free, or does it intend to kill them? We don’t know. Normally they give Christians three options. Either they pay the Jizya, the capitation tax, or they convert to Islam, or they must leave the place. The latter option was evidently not offered, or the Christians would have left.”
The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights and Syria-based activist Bebars al-Talawy said they have no information where militants took their captives after overrunning the heavily populated town, Catholic News Service reported. A commentator for the UK-based Observatory said those abducted were wanted by ISIS for “collaborating with the regime,” and their names were on a list already prepared by the militants as they occupied the town. This has serious implications for those people and their lives could be in danger, warned the Christian rights group Middle East Concern. 
Middle East Concern said it believes these developments suggest that Islamic State is again starting to target local Christians in Syria, CNS reported.
Father Youssef approximated that 160 Christians were kidnapped because that is how many Christians had remained in Al Qaryatayn. “But we do not know if all of the remaining Christians were taken as hostages by ISIS, or if some went into hiding,” he said. “At the end of the week, some 30 Christians succeeded in fleeing from the town. Some are shepherds and they know the region. They fled to Homs.”

Lots of times, when the ones with foresight warns of damaging current foreign policies, the naive crowds object “you’r unpatriotic”, yet when these with foresight are proven correct, and only after seeing the aftermath, no one remembers the watchmen.
We warned as others did of bad foreign policy regarding Iraq, Syria and the Arab Spring years ago. Many Republicans  mocked. Then the same Republicans who mocked, years later, trumpeted the same sentiment we did, but the difference is that these were the Johnny-come-lately.
So which one would you like to be, a voter with foresight or a Johnny-come-lately?
Ted Cruz, the darling of many is a disaster for Christianity and Jews for many reasons.
It is not only that Cruz’ father Rafael Cruz is a weird cultist who says that <a href="http://aattp.org/flashback-rafael-cruz-calls-son-ted-cruz-an-anointed-king-responsible-for-the-end-time-transfer-of-wealth/">his son was anointed as “king”</a> who will take control of all sectors of society, an agenda commonly referred to as the “Seven Mountains  Mandate“, but Cruz’s foreign policy supports the very issue he claims to uphold being pro-Jews pro-marriage etc … According to the Seven Mountain <a href="http://www.7culturalmountains.org">Initiative</a> which started by <a href="https://mkayla.wordpress.com/2010/10/14/finally-found-the-roots-of-the-seven-mountains-mandate/">reprobates in 1975</a> by <a href="http://www.patheos.com/blogs/unreasonablefaith/2009/05/r-j-rushdoony-reconstructionist-and-racist-bigot/" target="_blank">R. J. Rushdoony</a> and Francis Schaeffer” (whose son Frank Schaeffer converted to eastern Orthodox and later became atheist)  who claimed a special access to the Almighty and with a strange <a href="https://mkayla.wordpress.com/2010/10/14/finally-found-the-roots-of-the-seven-mountains-mandate/">twist of Scripture</a> started an evil movement. From this, Seven Mountain cult evolved. While it claimed that they used “biblical foundations” this cult evolved into complete insanity:

It is this mimicking of some sort of a Global Caliphate that Christianity is all about becoming dominionists  in which Cruz’s father says that his son will “bring the spoils of war to the priests”, thus helping to bring about a prophesied “great transfer of wealth”, from the “wicked” to righteous gentile believers (<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNa5w9js48s">link to video</a>). Most are unaware that the cult Ted belongs to with his father Rafael Cruz’ is the <a href="http://www.publiceye.org/christian_right/dominionism.htm">dominionist</a> cult.

While there is no time or space here to cover Cruz’s cultic affiliation, it is crucial that folks understand: American politics whether Democrat or Republican is not at war with Islamists per se: the CIA aided the Islamist terror in Chechnya and the Russian Caucasus in the early 1990’s, they aided the Islamist  Mujahideen in Afghanistan during Ronald Reagan’s era (which later became the Taliban), they aided the Jihadi Arab Spring, they aided Islamist Turkey …  these are all anti-Israel and anti-Christ. Anyone cares to deny?
Most American voters are lemmings, sheep led to the slaughter who are unaware (due to lack of education on foreign policy) that the goal is not combatting evil, but is to deliberately weaken Russia’s sphere of influence. This desire must be accomplished no matter what–even by using and supporting Islamists, neo-Nazis or whomever– it doesn’t matter. All this is an undeniable fact of life, politics is not about right vs. wrong, Shiite vs. Sunni, Protestant theology vs. Catholic, marriage vs. gender orientation, Israel vs. Palestine, recognition of Holocaust vs. Holocaust denial, haves vs. have-nots, Republican vs. Democrat …  but it is all about a continual war between top-dogs and is a pure struggle over power and world-dominion.
Thats it.
Anyone who denies this is simply part of the tide and the drowning sheep who get caught in the quicksand. These will always be the naive masses who are recruited with the cries of “Hurrah” while waiting for Johnny to come home from Iraq or Afghanistan who was supposedly fighting for his country.
Am I then denouncing the U.S.? Heavens no. America does what is right only by the providence of God. While we applaud Reagan for defeating Russia’s Communism, and before him, the threats from Nazi Germany and the emperor worship of Japan, it was by sheer providence the military found the Nazi death camps, all the while the government knew everything and did absolutely nothing until the end. The goodness of the American, most of the time, is not reflected by the politicians and this coming election Americans have a chance to change this.
But Cruz is not the answer.
Why? Besides his cultic affiliations, Cruz, as part of his foreign policy, supports the pro-Nazi Ukrainian government as do most Democrat and Republican politicians. In fact, it was Putin who correctly alleges that the government in Ukraine’s Kiev is propped up by neo-Nazi and anti-Semitic fascist groups including Right Sector and Svoboda – a nationalist party that won seats in the Ukrainian parliament in 2012. Putin uses this fact to justify the annexation of Crimea and the backing of separatist groups in eastern Ukraine.

In fact, it was Senator John McCain who actually labeled the Hungarian PM Viktor Orban “a neo-fascist dictator” for simply being close to Russia. Yet when it came to the Ukraine, this same John McCain was on the platform with neo-fascist and far-right figures in Ukraine before the coup.
It is this type of double standard that is quite extraordinary. While the anti-Russia pro-Western side of the Ukraine is neo-Nazi, naive Americans are supposed to pretend that the Nazis are not there. When Cruz rightly walks out on an anti-Israel event ran by Middle Eastern Arab Christians, what is not known by many, is that Cruz could care less about Israel and cares more about political power. If this assessment is wrong, why then would Ted Cruz  <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/sen-ted-cruz-ukraine-2014-5#ixzz31nDVOnxR">visit in support</a> this same neo-Nazi government, the very anti-Semitic government, whom Ukraine’s Chief Rabbi, Moshe Reuben Asman, has <a href="http://grumpyelder.com/2014/03/chief-rabbi-of-ukraine-urging-jews-to-flee/">warned</a> about, that Jews in Ukraine should get out of the country due to the pro-Nazi government.

So why do so many European and American politicians — including, of all people, Sen. Ted Cruz want to help anti-Semites ascend to power and become part of the EU? The Republican establishment as a whole, and its obvious, is all part of the soulless agendas in Washington DC which is U.S. dominion.
The only way out is that Cruz claims he has no foreign policy experience or to say (as our current administration does) that the Ukrainian government will be “tamed”.
It is a rule-of-thumb, that when the U.S. cries that Ukraine, Syria, Iraq, or any country needs “democracy”,  what they mean by that is “regime change” to thwart another superpower. In Syria it didn’t matter that McCain (republican) and Obama (democrat) supported terrorists who used Sarin gas, it was about changing the pro-Russian Syrian government. This reality is what we call “state backed terrorism” which will never change regardless to who is U.S. President.
Confirmed by Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, key organizations in the Ukraine including the Neo-Nazi party Svoboda were generously supported by Washington:

This is not an issue of Democrats vs. Republicans, both parties support the same issues. Cruz supports the same Neo-Nazi party Svoboda leader Oleh Tyahnybok. Here he is with the Hitler salute:

The biblical rule of thumb is that nationalism is a system ordained by God. It is a system which the “izims”  (Communism, Islamism, Socialism, Paganism …) are always at war with. Evil never stops to reshape us in the milieu of an evil ideology that grinds us into one religion and one government.
The story of Ukraine is the story of nationalism. Nationalism is ordained by God to all people. The business class in the Ukraine were oriented towards Russia who see the Ukrainian-Russian relationship as vital while the elites are much more oriented towards the EU and not the people. Russia has always been the imperial overlord of Ukraine, both under the Czar and in the time of the Soviet Union.
So the Pro-EU wing of the elite ruling class succeeded in raising an impressive stage army of protesters, a large part is inspired by the Occupy movement and the other by traditionalists. These see themselves as Europeans and not Russian. Then you have ultra-nationalists like Oleh Tyahnbok, an anti-Semite, which is a tradition that is not exactly dead in Ukraine. These are the bulk of the anti-Russia movement.
So it’s a geopolitical rivalry between the European Union (which is using its puppets) and Russia.
Russia’s President Putin has never given up on the idea of a Russian-led and dominated political and economic union as a counterbalance to Nato and the EU. With its historical, cultural and political and economic ties with Russia, it is the biggest prize in a competition for geopolitical power between Russia and the EU.
Putin started a parallel and competing strategic initiative with the Eurasian Customs Union (ECU) in October 2007 aiming for a ‘fully-fledged union’ similar to the EU as a global pole of power. Russia used similar pressure to force Armenia to give up negotiating with the EU.
There is a deep dividing line between the EU and Russia. Moscow has always seen the EU’s engagement in Eastern Europe as competitive interference. Dealing with Moscow has always been one of Europe’s most sensitive dilemmas.
The tsarist empire, the Soviet Union and Russia have all been both the enemy, and an ally to Europe. Europeans have fought with and against the Russians, just as they have done among themselves.
Many see Russia as a European country, which extends into Asia. Europe has no choice, what is in the interest of most of Europe is to have Russia as a close ally who can help on key matters such as dealing with Syria and the security of their energy supplies – which is about one-third of Europe’s gas, oil and coal imports which come from Russia. Europe’s relationship with Russia is more important for the EU than their relationship with the Ukraine.
The European Union is in shambles given the terrible economic problems of Southern Europe, so adding the weak Ukraine to the EU was preposterous, but making it in the Russian sphere of influence will prove an asset for Russia in the future.
Many who argue for Cruz’s theology has a dilemma. Cruz is an Evangelical in which the anti-Putin stems from the wrong interpretation of Gog and Magog being Russia, a nation (so they claim) that comes against Israel prior to Armageddon. While this is an error of interpreting Scriptures, his policy supporting the Ukraine to be part of the EU (which is also thought to be Antichrist) should put him, including all his Evangelical voters in a dilemma: why be on the side of Antichrist while being against Gog? Shouldn’t Evangelicals be anti-both: Gog and Antichrist? This is the pillar of hypocrisy.
It is here where these err. Donald Trump was right about the war in Iraq and it took a decade to recognize it and it would probably take another decade till the Republican party admits it.
And here is where foresight is necessary. President Putin (whom many of the naive consider as enemy) bolsters Christian Armenia politically, economically and militarily. The U.S. refuses to do what Putin did in recognizing the Armenian Genocide. Historically speaking, the U.S. is a holocaust denier when it comes to Armenia. How can a nation live with this? The U.S. Government is not about recognition of Holocaust vs. Holocaust denial.
Support for Armenia and Russia’s occupation of the Ukraine is bad for Turkey. Armenia’s recent rise as a regional power has only been possible due to the near total control Moscow has had over Armenia’s energy and military sectors. Armenia in the future will be an asset to fight against Turkey and the Ukraine will be the platform where Russia will invade Turkey when conflicts arise between Russia and Turkey.

I know that while some see Russia’s support for Iran as bad, this is true, but always keep in mind that Russia supports Iran to harass the U.S. with its anti-Russia attitude. Russia is creating a strategic crisis for the United States who fears Iran more than the Russians who are buffered from Iran by the Sunni Caucasus states. As far as the future goes, many in the U.S. fear the Russian sphere of influence, especially that it strengthened Iran. The Prophecy arena is replete with a Russian Iranian alliance that is based on error. But what needs to be understood are the issues at hand; first, Russia was fighting Sunnis in the northern Caucasus and feared the strengthening of radical Sunnis anywhere, but particularly in the larger Sunni-dominated republics in Russia. This is the same case with the U.S. in allying with Iran to fight ISIS.
It is just the way the ball bounces.
The Russians do not really have an interest to attack Israel as many in the Prophecy mania proclaim. No serious analyst would see any reason for Russia to invade Israel, and neither does Russia want the Iranians to gain nuclear weapons. What they do want is an extended conflict in Iraq, extended tension between Iran and the United States, and they wouldn’t much mind it if the United States went to war with Iran as well.
Second, an Iranian sphere of influence would threaten Saudi Arabia and would compel the United States to re-engage in the region to protect Saudi Arabia and by that will also be inclined to defend Israel. After all, the Americans remain obsessed with the Islamic world.
The key foreign policy then is to bring Russia closer while keeping Iran and Turkey at a distance. Yet the U.S. has its ties closer to Turkey and is now aiding Iran while they alienate Russia. It is also true that U.S. policy in the region (and why the U.S. Administration are behind the Sunni-Shia divide) is that the U.S. needs a region equally treacherous both for Turkey and Iran. Current balance of forces between extremist religious groups prevents Turkey and Iran to feel comfortable, whereas Washington reaps geopolitical dividends from the situation.
But Turkey and Iran have a common interest in preventing an independent Kurdish nation. The more the United States supports the Muslim Iraqi Kurds there will be a greater danger of an Iranian-Turkish alliance which is what we project will happen.
The only problem with this policy is that it undermines the situation for the Christians in the region, who are becoming highly persecuted. Such persecution will extend to the future in which the entire Christian population in the Middle East will have to flee or be slaughtered. To Christians, this issue should be the highest priority. A fifty three year old British Christian man named <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2015/08/10/british-grandfather-leaves-wife-and-children-to-fight-is-in-iraq_n_7964334.html" target="_blank">Jim Atherton</a> was filled with enough righteous anger to spend £3,000 in weapons, and <a href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/islamic-state/11793560/British-granddad-leaves-family-and-daschunds-to-join-militants-fighting-Isil-in-Iraq.html" target="_blank">join a Christian militia and fight ISIS.</a> Atherton <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2015/08/10/british-grandfather-leaves-wife-and-children-to-fight-is-in-iraq_n_7964334.html" target="_blank">stated</a>:

I couldn’t stand seeing IS killing women and kids. No one seemed to be doing anything about it, so I decided I would. ,,,“I’m a middle-aged white van man. I thought if I’m going to do anything with myself it’s going to be now.

He is armed with an RPK light machine gun, a Glock pistol, and a shotgun; on his chest lies a pouch holding a grenade, alongside his Marlboro cigarettes, and on his leg is strapped a knife. With his arms, he is ready to fight. His wife was “devastated” upon hearing his decision, and his children were “panicking”, once they found out that their father was going to embark on the crusade for humanity. The sense of filial attachment is most devastating, I am sure, however this did not compel Mr. Atherton from going forth to fight for his brethren. But as Jesus Christ said:

Mr. Atherton’s father was a soldier and his brother was killed in battle while in Afghanistan. While he is not a soldier himself, he has inherited the military spirit and knows how to use weapons. “I arrived with no military training but I’m fairly savvy with weapons already because my dad was into competition shooting.”
Atherton joined Dwekh Nawsha, a Christian militia whose name means “the Sacrificers,” and truly this man has sacrificed everything. In sacrificing everything, one obtains all. “Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:3) And truly are these holy and sublime words! For in being poor in spirit they have let go of all attachments, and in being absent of world ambitions, and pursuing the Law of Love — which is really the law of sacrifice — do they have the Kingdom of Heaven within their hearts. “The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.” (Luke 17:20-21)
Those who have love, sacrifice themselves; those who sacrifice themselves, have God, for God is Love in all of its absoluteness. Mr. Atherton affirms that he is “prepared to die”. Truly the greatest test of the Faith is to face death, to look at death and say ‘there is no death,’ to look at carnal life and say, ‘this is not life,’ and to look to Christ and say, ‘Here stands Life Himself.’ “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” (John 14:6) These are the words of Love Himself, and to be in Love is to truly to scorn death and be in union with Life Himself. Life was crucified on the Cross, to bring to our minds the eternal truth, that carnality is death, that what we think as death is only gain, and that true life — by its very essence — continues on and never ends in the realm of everlasting love.
“Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.” (Psalm 30:5) Such is the earthly life. It is temporal, and by its very name, temporary. It is filled with grief and uncertainties; in one moment there is happiness, but in a transient moment it brittles away like the fall leaf. Before we can see the bliss of the sun’s light, we must endure through the darkness of night. As the prophet Malachi says:

“But to you who fear My name 
The Sun of Righteousness shall arise 
With healing in His wings” (Malachi 4:2)
</blockquote>
Once the sun arises the darkness dissipates, for “light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” (John 1:5) So let the light of the Kingdom that is within you shine; let is war against the darkness through the righteous anger that emanates from your heart. “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16) And who will argue the actions of Mr. Atherton are not good works? Who will say that through his actions the light of God is shining from him? By his works he fights evil, he detaches himself from the world, and he allows his works to evidence his faith.

“In the Lord I put my trust; How can you say to my soul, ‘Flee as a bird to your mountain’?” (Psalm 11:1) Let our souls flee from this world and ascend the holy mountain of the Eternal Savior! Let our souls go to “God, In His holy mountain.” (Psalm 48:1) Let our souls soar up to the ceaseless sky, up to the heavenly Mount Zion, “For there the Lord commanded the blessing— Life forevermore.” (Psalm 133:3) Go up to Mount Zion, and there you will see the armies of bliss; there you will see martyrs, who gave up everything to be one with the the Divine Warrior, Who forsook everything for humanity’s everlasting life — although He contains all of the cosmos, and the universe can contain Him. There you will see the soldiers of God, who fought evil to become one with “Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God” (1 Corinthians 1:24), and to be in Christ’s army is to fear God, and “The fear of the Lord is to hate evil” (Proverbs 8:13).
“But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God,” writes the Apostle, “the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.” (Hebrews 12: 24) And who are the spirits of just men made perfect but those who “subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens” (Hebrews 11:33-34)?
Is this not exemplified in the soldiers who combat against the acolytes of darkness? Do they not pick up their crosses, to be as Christ when He warred against the devil and defeated him? It is the same spiritual war. Spiritual war is not some abstract state; it is a physical action done in the midst of spiritual conflict. The Crucifixion was physical, and yet it was a spiritual war. And so these crusaders who pick up their cross and endure unto the end, these are surely soldiers in the sacred battle field of the cosmic struggle between good and evil.
Life is the state of being animated, and the life that ends is only a temporal state. How is it life to live and then end? Why should we call life that which ceases? This is not life, but a test to qualify for life! “For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” (Philippians 1:21) To die in Christ, is life. Christ died, to teach us how to live. For in dying in Him, we find life. “But whoever will persevere until the end will have life.” (Matthew 24:13)

But whatever has been told by the secular media, Brett says is not the full story. What you will watch here is a rare breathtaking interview including footage on the Christian fighters Brett trained. There are no words to describe Brett’s heroism, his deep inner wisdom and his child-like heart, which can all be seen through his eyes as he expresses his inner soul.
Like any American youngster from the east coast, this kid from Detroit initially thought it cool to have  tattoos, joined the U.S. armed forces and fought in Iraq witnessing first hand the error of U.S. intervention to remove Saddam Hussein and how later Obama abandoned Iraq completely leaving behind it’s Christian community to fend for themselves. So Brett took the mantle where it was left-off.
Initially, Christ and religion were not even on his mind as he miraculously survived an IED explosion. He knew very little about Christianity or about Iraq being the cradle of his Christian heritage, until of course, he was suddenly jolted by the rude awakening having witnessed the suffering of the Christians there. He describes how Christians were sold out enduring beheadings, pillage, rape and utter misery. Instead of going home to his weeping mother, Brett quickly learned how to speak Arabic blending  in the culture to become a suffering saint willing to be martyred for the cause of Christ. In this amazing footage, watching Brett spill his heart out in a never before told story, will not only bring tears, but will expose how the Kurds abandoned the Christians and sold them out to get raped and beheaded by ISIS. He speaks of loneliness and how churches and governments abandoned them in their plight to save Christianity in Iraq. He is truly a warrior mystic. Brett was key in aiding and training his Christian comrades in Iraq. He is an American hero who became  one of the leading foreign fighters in the Dwekh Nawsha Christian Militia training them on how to fight against whom Brett calls “cowardly ISIS”.

“The world is abandoning us” Brett laments adding “and we need help, who is going to help us?” He later adds profound wisdom from above: “dying is the easiest thing you will ever do … I laugh at it … but the biggest battle of them all is making the world care”.
“Convincing the world to care is more difficult than being killed for Christ” says Brett.
He describes the material world and ends with a beautiful nugget: “how do you make a people care in the first world? They go to work, they have a Mercedes, and they have a BMW, they have a nice house, what do they want? Do you know why I cry? I don’t cry because my friends die – in this I rejoice in the Lord – I cry because people want a nicer car. People want a bigger house. People want this and that. They want everything that means nothing”.
“They want everything that means nothing”, how profound.
Brett found the secret for his existence. “I will sacrifice everything in this world that I love for what I believe … carrying your cross is the most rewarding thing you will ever do in this life and the next” he says.
