This morning LA County Schools received a “credible threat” from Frankfurt, Germany. No further details are given other than it was said to target students and it involved “backpacks” and “packages.” From KTLA:

The threat was sent via email to a school board member Monday evening and was traced back to an IP address in Frankfurt, Germany, according to spokeswoman Ellen Morgan.

The “messaged” threat mentioned backpacks and other packages, Superintendent Ramon Cortines said at a morning news conference. He described the nature of the threat as “unspecified.”

No threat that is serious enough to shut down one of the largest school systems in the country is merely “unspecified.”

More details will surely emerge in the coming days. However, there are two things I should like to point out:

-Frankfurt is one of the largest centers of Islam in Germany and is home to the Muslim Brotherhood’s German office

-While Islam was not specified in this report, and one should not jump to conclusions, one might remember the Muslim terrorist attacks in Beslan, North Ossetia, Russia 11 years ago. 32 Muslim terrorists from Chechnya took over 1100 students and adults hostage and  ended in the massacre of 385 of them, out of which 186 were children:
